Guarantee

Commitment made by a person to pay the debt of a debtor if the debtor fails to do so.

Guarantee of services provided by asset management companies

This is the guarantee mechanism that covers the inability of a bankrupt portfolio management firm to repay or return to its clients the financial instruments and cash it holds on their behalf. Each client is guaranteed up to a maximum of 20,000 euros per portfolio management firm. Learn more: “Know My Guarantees.” Source: FGDR
